Let't talk about Workflows

As you may have thought, Workflows are a group of consecutive steps (tasks) in a project.

Think TEP, that is a workflow consisting of the following tasks:

- Translation

- Editing

- Proofreading

You can have as many workflows as you like, and by default you have the following:

- T-only (Translation)

- TE - Translation + Editing

- TEP - Translation + Editing + Proofread

In each workflow you can indicate which step is to be "billed" (there's a toggler), because that one step will be on your client invoice.

This was done because your Customers might not know what TEP is, they order Translation - this is what they know they need.

Your internal workflow is is only up to you, it is your own secret sauce!

So you can create a workflow with 5-6 steps, and not bother your Client with Proofreading and Consistency Check and TQA stuff, while you know for you and your company these are important steps. You only charge them with Translation (but of course you should define your prices with all this in mind).

On the other hand if you are working with LSPs then you might have a different approach because they would like to see how much you charge them for Translation, and how much for Editing, so in THAT workflow, that you use for Agencies or LSPs you can indicate that both T and E are "billable" tasks.

Cool, eh?
